    Mediclinic City Hospital recently performed the first ever robotic major liver resection in Dubai using the da Vinci robot.

    The procedure was performed by Dr Hemant Vadeyar, Consultant Hepatobiliary Surgeon, who was assisted by consultant surgeons Dr Faisel Ikram and Dr Roger Gerjy.

    But 15 days ago, doctors from Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital removed a 28cm tumour weighing 3.9kg from Naseeruddin’s liver.

  • Mediclinic City Hospital performs the first robotic liver resection surgery in Dubai

    The first ever robotic liver resection surgery in Dubai has been performed at Mediclinic City Hospital. The surgery was led by Dr Hemant Vadeyar, Consultant Liver Surgeon at the hospital. He explains, “The patient, 24 years of age, was found to have a large mass in the liver during her routine ultrasound examination. Subsequent investigations suggested that this was most likely to be a benign mass on the left lobe of the liver."
